Hey all how well do you think this diy incubator will work ?

Hi all my main incubator is full right now and I did not expect my other important female to lay another batch so quickly after her last.

So I came up with this

It is a lamp with a camp fire grill peace on top

Then I put a damp paper towel over the eggs for humidity and a small plastic contained with a small hole in it for ventilation over the eggs

How well do you think this will turn out ?

It's not very moral or humane to artificial create life only to have it die and suffer. .


With no way of controling temp or humidity. . Throwing eggs on a lamp is not very nice to those chicks.

When we incubate it's up to us to try to do the best job you can do.
There counting on us..
If you just put them on id recommend taking them off..before life starts..
If you want to build a incubator fine.. throwing eggs on a grill with a Scott towel for humidity that likely dries in a hour.. with no thermostat. . Is just plain mean
 
I took it apart 30 minutes ago, chill.

I was doing what I had to do it in an emergency fast situation so they would not freeze to death. The action was not cruel in any way possible, I had no other way to get their embryos back to a surviving level so yes I did what I could do and what was best for the situation I was in , my birds are my first priority and the care is first thing over all for you to call my action cruel, is very misplaced as you did not know the whole situation. Please know the whole story before jumping to assumptions of cruelty.
