Please help! I bought 3 pullet chicks from Rural King. 3 different breeds, Barred Rock, Rhode Island Red and Ameraucana. I have only had experience with raising Ameraucanas. My cousin pointed out that she thought one of them might possibly be a cockerel(due to the larger comb). I was thinking that might just be due to the breed (Rhode Island Red). But the chick's comb seems to have grown larger. Or maybe it is just me fixating on the issue, lol. I know Rhode Island Reds do have larger combs than my Amercauanas. I am really hoping that my chick is a female because am not allowed to have roosters in my subdivision! And would you believe, that of the 3 chicks, that is the one that always flies up wanting to be held and pettted, a true "lap chicken". I would be heartbroken if she turned out to be a rooster.... I could not have a rooster here and would not even know where to send him, I'd be afraid he'd be butchered right away. This chicken is so loveable, I do hope she is a hen,

Not sure if you got my other pics. But these are more pics of my chicken (I'm hoping not a rooster!).

I tried posting a pic but it didn't work! So maybe I'll try posting a separate pic to you :)

I can see the pictures. How old is the bird? It looks under 10 weeks so I think you have a roo.

It's 6 weeks old. So I guess I likely have a roo, I think I should probably know for sure at about 12 weeks? Thank you for your help
