Funny 12 Week Old Pullet Behavior!

I cannot see how asking someone is it their First time raising chickens personal, but yes that is what I meant first time keeping chickens

I grew up with chickens on a farm until I was around 12... mostly RIR's and Silkies and some "mutts", LOL! I went without chickens for a very long time. Currently, I have five hens that are 3 1/2 year olds now (3 brown/red sex linked, 1 gold laced wyandotte and 1 silver phoenix). This group of pullets are 12 weeks old and I got them when they were just a few days old (3 barred rocks and 3 black sex-links). I wasn't able to dote on the older hens when they were young like I have these pullets. Anyway, I've never had a chicken nearly do a somersault when getting a back rub before... It just cracks me up... and the funny cooing cluck sound she makes! The funny thing is I'm barely putting any pressure on her back or sides, just very gentle pets and that's what she does. Funny stuff!

Yes, that's exactly what mine do! Well, just two of the pullets... I managed to get a picture of Betsy doing it... So funny!! :lau If you look close, you can ever see her eyelid is covering her eye... as if her eyes are rolling back in her head. I love chickens so much... the crack me up everyday!
Haha mine do the same thing it's funny.

I'm glad to hear other people's chickens do it too... they just do the silliest things!
