If I noted everything correctly, Vader (just had to do it - only black chick out of 4 born on Star Wars day!) comes from an black Australorp hen and my barred rock roo (my other roo is a buff orpington, so I don't think he was the winner here - lol)
Initially, when Vader started feathering, I thought he/she was going to be barred, but as you can see, that isn't quite the case. I don't even know what to call this "pattern" but Vader sure is pretty/handsome!
Here is the rest of the hatch with Vader - one egg from a buff orpington (the broody who hatched them), one from a white rock and one from a red sex-link. Safe to say my buff roo DID get lucky with those three. LOL
