Lavender Orpingtons: Pullet(s) or Roo(s)?

Thread Starter

I know that this is a long shot but I'm thinking maybe I've got a pullet and roo but who knows? I could be wrong. So, can anyone help me identify whether these little 'guys' are male or female? Both chicks are Lavender Orpingtons and their ages range from 1-2 weeks. Thanks!

Wing feather sexing is not applicable for these birds - it is not universal as some would have you believe.   For these birds you will need to evaluate other characteristics as they grow and feather in - around 6+ weeks you will have a better idea of who is who.

Where are we going, and why are we in this hand basket?
