Not so silky silkies???? Silkie chicks growing normal feathers - Page 4

Just chiming in here about Silkie rooster crow. I just sold my beautiful, sweet boy. He had the most beautiful voice! A full deep bodied crow. My neighbors didn't mind-but he was an indoor pet and I took him outside after10am. You could try a child's sock to get him used to a collar. If I had kept him I would have tried it because he crowed me out of bed. Talk about an alarm clock! Good luck with your boy. You could also consider putting him in the garage over night or bring him inside. He wouldn't mind sleeping in a Stearlite container.

Well today at just 1 month old....he crowed for the first time! It was low and choppy, but no doubt a crow. I can only imagine how loud he will get! Is that normal for so young? @mommabird724 how do i put the baby sock on him? He is sooo tiny.
