She lays on her tummy. At first, her feet were up by her head, and paddling on the ground. In the morning (I left her alone the first night) she had her feet under her, but laid on them. I put her in a splint (rubber band with straw piece on it) this morning, but she just laid on her feet. So, now we're trying a sling. She sleeps a lot. I've given her water, and she has shown some interest in food. She's so tiny, (bantam) that it's hard to find a small enough band and straw for the splint. So, here we are. I'm going camping (no electricity, or I'd take her), and my elderly mom is watching them. I don't think she'll be able to change the sling, so we'll have to go back to the splint tomorrow. Any suggestions? Is it hopeless - should I look into euthanasia? I have no idea how to do it, or if I'd even be able to... I hate to do it, but I don't want to put her through this (she doesn't like it) if she won't recover.
Any ideas??? She's my first grade class' favorite chick. :( I've been lucky, I guess, this is my first splay, and I've done this a lot!
