Please help! Hen with swollen eye

I have a 3 month old hen. One of her eyes is swollen shut without discharge. Hopefully you can see the photos. The other eye looks like on the way too. Please help me with any ideas or suggestions. She is not eating or drinking well either. Thanks a lot.

Is she running into things? She might not be eating because she can't see the food. You should keep her separate from the other hens with water and food nearby and dab a little Neosporin on it. Does she get pecked a lot?

I ask the Lord to be with me,
As I walked through the dell,
Then came the dark of night,
And the darkness quietly fell.
Then I trembled in great fear,
As the dark of night hung low,
Then I heard the Father say,
"The darkness is my shadow."

Does she have a bad odor? She could have a respiratory disease called infectious coryza if there is an odor. Her sinuses are swollen, and may be full of pus. This should be squeezed out, which is not always easy. Antibiotics such as Tylan or Sulfadimethoxine may help treat it. Clean the eyes out with saline to remove any crusts. Do some research on coryza and removing pus. Sometimes lancing the swollen area is done. There are videos in many threads here if you search in the box at the top of the page.

Thanks for the information!
She does run into things. And she got lost in my neighbor' backyard yesterday which never happened before. I don't think she got pecked.
There is no bad odor when I hold her in my hands. I can try smell closer to her.
But pus is definitely possible. I will try to feel if it is hard or soft. Hard means pus, right? I watch a video about squeezing out pus and it does not look pretty. Is there other way to remove it?
Are there any other possibilitie if there is no bad odor? The girl seems miserable.
I really appreicate any input.

Does she have any sneezing, wheezing, gasping, or nasal draiange which would point to a respiratory infection rather than a peck injury, sting, or a foreign body in her eye? Coryza usually smells bad from reading, but mycoplasma (MG) can also cause eye, facial, and ear swelling. If you could have a cet see her, it might help with a diagnosis and speed up treatment. Occasionally chickens will develop tumors around the face, but since you are seeing it start in the second eye with a possible peck mark under the eye, it probably is resp. or from pecking. Tylan 50 injectable can ne purchased at feed stores in the cattle section, and can be given by mouth. Dosage is 1 ml orally twice a day for 5 days for respiratory diseases.

thanks for all the input. I looked at all mentioned possibilities. I think she might have got a tumor. Nothing I can do about that.

A tumor could be a possibility, but since it is affecting both sides, I would think about treating for MG or another respiratory disease. I would at least clean the eye with saline, and use some Vetericyn eye gel, Terramycin or Neosporin (plain) in her eye twice a day. Many do not like to use antibiotics in their chickens.
