I have a yearling hen, hasn't laid for about a week, losing weight, not moving much, cone is almost purple. It appears to be maybe infectious bronchitis or Maren's disease???
I have 5 hens, 1 rooster who free range almost every day for 5-12 hours. Large coop ( converted barn stall fully enclosed) with a 10' x 20' run. Let them out of run for free ranging.
All other hens and rooster are fine. also have a brooder with 8 chicks in the same barn but not in close contact.
any suggestions would be really helpful! I do clean shavings out of coop every 3-4 weeks. Getting ready to disinfect with vinegar and H. peroxide.
