So this is the third egg that I've found that just seems to... Fall out of the hen from the roost bar. The egg shell is super thin and nearly paper white, but none of my birds regularly lay white eggs. All are off white and brown. So I'm wondering if this is like a popcorn fart egg or what might be going on. All of my hens are under 3 years old, and of various breeds.

Are they getting enough calcium and protein? Maybe this article will help you: Common Egg Quality Problems

They're getting this feed http://m.nutrenaworld.com/products/poultry/naturewise-poultry/naturewise-layer16/index.jsp , and have oyster shell mixed in with their food. I don't have a secured bowl of it and the brats tip it over if I'm not careful.

This egg seems to have come out whole but just dropped from their roost bar onto the floor and cracked?

Get the oyster shell dish secured.....don't mix oyster shell with feed.
Do you feed any other foods?
Could be low on protein.....could be an old bird coming to end of lay.
Do you have any sexlinks or other production breeds?

They occasionally get things like lettuce and tomato, or fresh corn on the cob. Any greens that are 'scrap' off vegetables, basically! Or fruit like apples and bananas. They get to free range the yard though, so there's grass and bugs for them too.

I have a production red hen who is two months over a year old! The others are - two mutts, a buff orpington (who I actually have no idea how old she is), a partridge rock, & a brahma/orpington cross (who is broody). I've also got a rooster but I don't think he'd be thrilled with egg laying
