Hi welcome-byc.gif

Glad you could join us here! I'm not a duck person but it sounds to me that she may just have a full crop. (Pouch where the food goes) Please do pop by the duck section ~ http://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks I'm sure the keepers there will be able to help you amd if you could post a pic that would be great.

Good luck and enjoy BYC frow.gif

Welcome to BYC :frow I think what you're describing may be their crops. When full, it can look and feel quite odd! Their crops should empty overnight, so check on them again in the morning, and see if there is any change.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

sorry I don't know about ducks.  But if a chicken has a full crop during the day, it should be empty  in the morning.
