Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I would check out the "Learning Center." It depends on the rules and regulations of the specific towns. If you can't seem to find the rules online, I would suggest visiting your Town Hall and asking.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

If there is a HOA,  I think you could under their rules /restrictions first.

I'm no lawyer but I've always understood that what you did inside your house is completely up to you, even if you live in a restricted neighborhood with HOA and the like. I've lived in two homes that were in a HOA and I don't remember any regulations concerning what you did inside. The rules always fell under the Architectural Committee's jurisdiction and related to the outside appearance. Of course that would only be the case if you owned your house; renting would be a completely different story. Just curious but why in the world would you want to keep chickens inside your house full time? I can't imagine doing that.
