Got this lil roo at a poultry swap on may 7th. Was told hes a jersey giant, but dont they not have this colouring??? I was thinking he's a jersey giant crossed with a delaware, what do you think??? I also don't know how old he is... I was thinking maybe 6 months or 7? He's very docile and sweet, gets picked on by the hens even. Likes to be carried around and like snuggles. Doesnt go up on the roost at night, but will lie down on the ground beneath them. Very lanky and bony, hardly any meat on him. Not crowing yet. Makes little sound

Maybe. He is taller and his bone structure is much larger than all of my other birds, hybrid hens, and a few roos that I'm thinking are black copper Maran and an Americana black copper Maran cross..

Looks to be about 14-16 weeks old. Definitely a rooster. He'll crow when he's ready. He looks like a cross between a Barred Rock and a White Leghorn or some other white chicken such as a Rhode Island White. Perhaps a mix of Barred Rock and Delaware.
He's definitely NOT got any Jersey Giant in him - they are large, black chickens.

There are blue JG's and I believe there are also white ones, although they are much rarer

Really thinking he's a jersey giant with a different breed's colouring..... HENCE WHY I KNOW HES A CROSS. He's also definitely part jersey giant, because I was told he was when I purchased him. He's also incredibly docile, which adds on to why he probably isn't a more aggressive breed.

I have a mean jersey giant.. I can't let him out... soon as I'm done breeding for the year .he will be dinner.. even trys to attack thru fence..
I think there's good and bad in all breeds..

Of course! I have non-aggressive roosters of a breed that are known to be aggressive, so there's always gonna be exceptions.

I know this post is old but I recently acquired what looks like a clone of your chicken!!
Did you ever figure out what it is?
Did it turn out to definitely be a roo?
We are still questioning sex on this one
