My father will be watching my 3-4 week old chicks while I'm away on vacation, but he's not into socializing livestock. I spend a lot of time with the chicks trying to get them used to human interactions so they'll be friendlier as adults. So far, it's going very well! I have a super friendly frizzled turken who will walk right up to me when I put my hand in the brooder and roost on me
I'm slightly concerned that having no one interacting with them for the time I'm away may cause them to regress and become fearful or people. Do you think in 6 days there behaviors will change or should they still be on a good path to being social? I'm especially concerned about my little turken. She's my little pal! If they were adults, I wouldn't be concerned, but since they're chicks I feel as though little things like this could impact them more.
My father told me to ask you guys
Thanks!
