95% DONE!

Shingles won't work well on that flat of a roof.
it looks a bit slanted for me

honestly i wouldn't use shingles

since it's a $4 coop.. if you have some exterior paint or waterproof finish lying around.. just apply it on and that's it..

plywood will not last as long outside anyway..

for extra protection.. if you have those foam insulation sheet lying around.. put them on top of the coop too

i had some window shade screens that were lying around the garage.. finally got the chance to use them

It's slanted, but just barely

Thanks for the reply, Art!
It's nice to know that people here are so helpful :).

However...
With a 2 in 12 pitch and an I&WS, I'm of the opinion that things will work out.(Time will tell, huh?)
Here in So Cal I'm much more concerned with the sun.

EDIT: Upon rereading this, it seems I may sound a bit pompous or sarcastic. This is NOT my intention.

OK...
So shingles are OUT!
WHY?
Well, because it has dawned on my not so smart self that I need to be able to get into the coop to clean it. So I'm making the roof on hinges to be able to accomplish that. Going to need to keep it light as possible, so no shingles.

Live and learn...
