What colour is this?

Meg is an araucana bantam silkie cross. :) Can anyone tell me if this colour has a name (other than black), or do all black chickens look like this? She has orange stripes down her neck, and the rest of her is black but it gleams blue and green. It is so pretty.

I believe they would call that a rusty black, the multicolored sheen is normal in black birds. She's very pretty.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.

Thank you! When I got her, she wasn't nearly so pretty. She lived in a shed with lots of other chickens. She was the ugly one of the bunch I took, and she was a complete basket case, I felt so sorry for her. In a few short months, she has physically and mentally blossomed. She is now one of the prettier ones. <3 I just love how her feathers change colours in the sun.
