To elaborate on Silkies, some can have vaulted skulls meaning the skull is thinner at the top or even not fully closed... a hard peck on top of their heads from another, taller bird can cause severe injury without meaning to... it doesn't look like yours are vaulted from the pics, but you can run your fingers gently over their heads to check... if it has a taller bump under the crest then they might be...
Also, the crests and beards can impair their vision... this makes it harder for them to see as well as other breeds and can make them easy targets for bullys...
Silkies are notorious for taking a long time to use a ramp and as for roosting, some never do... half my Silkies dogpile on the coop floor, half roost on a low bar... try giving them just a short step up roost and see if they will stay on it... otherwise you might just have floor sitters in them... good luck and hope it all works out well...
