Black Cochin grow quicker than buff Cochin??

I have a black Cochin chick and buff Cochin, both five weeks, and the black has just surpassed the buff and seems very large, could it be a roo?

The black one could be a roo - as it comb is quite developed.

The buff one looks like a pullet. My Silver Pencil Cochin Bantam pullet's comb was non-existent until just recently and she's 10wks old.

I'm starting to think mine is not a Silver Pencil Cochin, but maybe a Laced Cochin.

Six week photos...the buff is getting fluffier but the black is still much fluffier, tail feathers different, too.

Wow...that black one has a lot of red comb and wattle. I'm no pro but the black one looks like a boy.

Black one still bigger and comb too...thinking pullet though. Eight weeks now.

What did your black cochin turn out to be? I have a 10 week old bought as a girl but so big and comb and waddle already I am worried.
