Hello fellow farmers. Well let me introduce myself. I just started raising chickens back in February. I have cornish rock, easter eggers and a few bamas. I also had some cx but i already got them roosting in my frig. I had 9 but got 3 left. This was a ruff start but im learning as i go. Like ck i didnt know they got so big so quick and lost thier feathers on their bottoms. I also got this one hen but i dont know what she is, she doesnt have tail feathers. Its not molting and their werent pulled out. She has small soft feathers covering her bum. I'll try to post a pic of her. I got some baby chic that are about 4 weeks old. Have plans to order more chic for meat but dont know what kind other then cx cause they almost eat me out of house. Well thats about it for now just ask me and ill tell.
 
Hi and welcome to BYC i am glad you could join us if you ever need anything I and many others are here to help. Um the chicken you describes almost sounds like a Cochin idk

You may want to check out the "meat bird" threads to see if other meat breeds might be more to your liking. I think some don't have so rapid growth as Cornish x,.
