I have a few bantam hens I keep as just pets. Last year I lost one to an unknown disease. She developed a white-ish discharge from her vent. No other symptoms. She ate and walked ok. Held her head up and feathers were not droopy, etc. I cleaned her little vent everyday but no success. She finally died and when I did a crude autopsy I found a straw colored liquid in her abdomen and it looked like her intestines had atrophied.

Not I have another hen exhibiting the same thing. White discharge from the vent. She eats and acts normal but without vent cleaning she would plug.

One of the odd thing about both these babies is there is no smell to the discharge.

I have attached pics.

Any help would be appreciated.
