I rescued a 5-6 week old Embden gosling yesterday from my local vet. It's leg was probably bit by a snapping turtle. It's on antibiotics and pain meds but the emergency vet didn't really know a lot about waterfowl. There's also a 1" hole in the webbing of her foot. Was thinking they should have sewn it up, but wasn't sure. Any suggestion for care? Here is a photo of the leg. I will get more later when he/she is standing up.

Should I get one of those neoprene shoes? I have 8 ducks but never had an injury like this, so don't really know what's best.
