Hello - wondering if anyone can tell me if its normal for one of my lavendar Orpington chickens to drink water and then sorta puke it back up? One day it acted sick (wouldn't stand up or walk - wouldn't drink water - panting) so I brought it in and the only thing I could think of was sour crop. I massaged the crop (though it really didn't feel huge - but a bit of a sour smell) and though it never threw up by morning it was back to normal. After 2 days of "normal" I put it back in the coop. I watched it take a drink later that day and before long it sort spit up and had a string of slime hanging from its mouth. Still acting perfectly fine - any ideas of what might be going on with this chicken? Any feedback would be appreciated!
