Hello again, so we decided 10 hens was not enough... lol!

We picked up for new babies today at the local feed store, this little girl was sitting outside of all of the incubators. They told me she was an araucana, but the more I look she should not have feathered feet. I think she may be a Brahma, but they didn't even have Brahmas in the incubator or for sale at all... she doesn't look my EE babies, either. She's very sweet and quite outgoing. Maybe a mongrel?

Well dang, let me try that again... I was told she is 3-4 weeks, too, if that helps

.

Yeah, the more I looked at her, the more I was like "there is no way she's what they said"... I get that it's a feed store and they seemed relatively ignorant to chickens in general, but we bought our 6 from them last year and they have been the BEST birds (3 EEs- sold as Americanas and 3 cuckoo marans). They supposedly only had: Araucana, cuckoo marans, SL Wyandotte (got one) and New Hampshire reds (got 2). This one had escaped and was sitting on the edge of a bucket when I went in. She hopped right on my hand, so I was like, yeah she needs to come with me. Frankly, due to the nature of the incubators, I could not even see much more than the heads of most of babies so I don't know if there were more feathered footed ones or not.

We are very happy about that... she's very pretty and a friendly little thing!

Thanks!
