Hello everyone from SF Bay Area! I have been an avid reader of BYC forever and finally decided to become a member.

A friend got me curious about chickens and I finally gave in 20 months ago and got our first batch. I am now hooked. I am the crazy chicken lady. I've since added to my flock (thankfully with chicken math, I am way below our allowed number) and hatched 2 batches with my broody hens.

Perhaps I'm working out my ticking biological clock through chickens... but I'm no longer allowed to add to my flock. I still lurk on different sites checking out ladies, baby chicks and roos. I just can't get enough of them! My husband teases me about my cruising Craigslist for 'cocks'.

Don't worry, there are loads of crazy chicken ladies (and gents) here, so you have certainly come to the right place. Wherever you cruise for cocks or chicks, as the mood takes you, is a healthy pastime IMO

Thanks CTKEN! I will check out the state thread. Glad to hear there are gents too. Believe it or not it was my husband that convinced me to get the girls and he loves his flock for chicken therapy.
