My sebastopol goslings ard now 5 weeks old and starting to feather up, I am very surprised that the one gosling with the black beak and dark back has dark feathers appearing on her back! The parents are both pure bred white sebs how can this be? Any ideas? Thanks
I am no expert - in fact I just bought 6 Sebbie goslings last weekend. What I have read is that genetically the white will mask other colors. So the parents carry color like saddleback or splash but don't express the color and your gosling is expressing the color.
