Taking my ducks out?

I am going to try to have my ducks imprint on me. If they do, once full grown will they still follow me around? If I want to take them out of the house to a park or pond will they come back?

How many ducks? if they truly imprint On you they will always believe they are human and likely always want to return to inside the house (where the humans are.)

How do you envision your life with the ducklings?  Will they be indoor ducks?  That can work, and it requires extreme devotion on the part of the human.  Like, joined at the hip, almost.

So I think that if you are ready for that intense, long-term commitment (talking maybe 15 years), then the questions need to be about how you are going to keep them safe when you go to parks and ponds.  Others will likely have their dogs.  Or there could be wild waterfowl who want to prove who's boss.

Some folks do take their ducks places - they often have a crate on wheels of some sort, or leashes.
