Well, the dogs are both doxies, and the reason the boy tore through the chicken wire was because it was inadequately secured to the bottom of the run. As you can see from the picture, the entire perimeter of the run is now encircled with cinderblocks, plus the exterior perimeter of hardware cloth, plus an additional 20 foot dog fence that runs from the back wall of the house to the cinderblock wall of my property line (I have a small backyard). These chickens might as well be living at the White House - it's going to be that hard for intruders to approach!
