Good evening. Hope I'm in the correct place to post this question. Not life or death but curiosity. I have 3 bantam chicks that i brought home at the end of March. My neighbor and I are sitting outside now discussing the fact that we've never seen a black footed / legged chicken. I've never had chickens of my own until March of this year but helped my grandparents with their chickens during the summers while growing up. My neighbor had chickens during most of her childhood.
This particular bantam is solid black. It's beak is black. It's feet and legs are also black. His feet and legs do not have feathers on them. It's little ears are white. It has a bright red comb that looks like someone put a glob of clay on his head and mashed it flat with their thumb. I bought it at tractor supply in a tub that had various bantams. At the same time I purchased one that ended up being solid yellow with feathered feet and legs and one that turned out to be black and white with feathered legs. Could this little black legged one be sick or is this normal for some chickens to have black feet and legs?
Trying to put a pic in here but can't figure out how.
Thanks for any help.

Totally normal for some chickens to have black feet and legs. As an extreme example, here is one breed I raise, the Ayam Cemani:

700

700

If you can post a picture of your little one, we may be able to tell you the breed :)

I can see that this is from 2016 but on the chance that you are still on here. That type of chicken is called la Fleche.
