What breed and gender are my chickens?

That's awful :(. I tried looking into the Crowley city ordinances to help you out but found nothing on poultry. Have you tried the Local Chicken Laws & Ordinances (and how to change them) forum here on BYC? Just type the title in the search box at the top of the page. Hope this helps.

I have contacted the code compliance department where I live to find out what codes I need to abide by and see if I may have overlooked something. If not, my neighbor will have to endure or move. The confusion is that I live in Crowley but am legally in Fort Worth. So, I get Fort Worth water, trash service, police and fire, etc. I looked at Fort Worth code that says I can have up to 12 chickens total, no more than 2 roosters and they have to be in a coop and run at all times. The chickens area cannot be less than 50 feet from my neighbors or my own living areas. I abide by all of those requirements (except I let my chicken run around when I get home from work). They've never gone out of my yard or even on my fence. Crowley code says no more than 2 chicken and no roosters. So, I am waiting to see what the Fort Worth code compliance officer says about it. I'm in a new neighborhood. My house and many other houses are about 6 months old. I am not sure if the guidelines have been clearly laid for where I live. I am willing to go through the processes of having the code changed to allow chickens in necessary.
