Hi all,
getting back into chickens after moving house a couple of years ago. I was determined to build it out of as much recycled material as possible so I saved a lot of stuff from renovations to the house. The only new stuff I bought was the cladding and some of the frame work. Cost me about $180 AU and I am **** proud of it.
I have always been fairly handy but had never built a frame or roof trusses before, what an awesome learning experience.....where would we be without Google?
The windows open for ventilation and the main door opens downwards to give nice clear access for cleaning. Buying chickens next week, just 2 Isa Browns and 1 Australorp.
hanks to all of the people who post pics of their build as I took ideas from about 20 different designs.
