What you state is true and when you hacked out an exception for older biddies that too is true.  In my opinion too much is made by people concerning so called bully chicks or chickens.  The pecking order is what it is and the pecking order is the defining aspect of what it means to be a chicken.  We can command the Sun to rise in the West and Set in the East and enjoy about as much success as we can by commanding compliance from a hen or rooster.  Other than wringing the necks of those chickens who behave contrary to our cockeyed human view of chicken society, there is little that we can do to change chicken behavior.  In fact I feel that that is a positive thing about chickens, they just go on being chickens regardless what we humans feel or think about chickens.or their behavior.  I find that both refreshingly natural and humbling.

Keep your chickens safe from predators, buy and wear fur.
