Can anyone tell me what is going on with this 6ish week old pullet?

I guess I noticed there was something different about her for awhile- just thought her chest puffed out more. Today I grabbed her and inspected her neck- it seems like there isnt even a neck coming out of her body on the really bad side.

Is there a way to fix this, or is it injury or genetic? Should I cull? If so now, or later and use for meat? She won't be able to eat or drink from my set up outside- so would need special accommodation when its graduation time.

I took video and this is the only still i could get from that that really shows well, but here are others. She's nearly too dark to see it on a screen. The neck is short and twisted. almost like there is no neck. When walking it looks like her chest is puffed up.

I had a broiler a few years ago that looked alot like that. It was literally like his spine was just twisted. He lived and was fine, he was picked on a little bit, but nothing big, I think it was just genetics for him. I guess this probably does not help much. Could it be Wry neck? That happens in younger chicks though I think.

Unfortunately my feeders and waterers outside require them to stretch their neck out. So if she were to stay she'd need special accommodation. She's a dual purpose breed so I might use her for meat. I'm not sure.

Everything Ibhave read about wry neck says their neck will turn up and they will be unable to eat or drink. So I'm not sure that's what it is, or not.

Looks like a neck deformity to me. If you can easily accommodate her disability, you might see how she does and process her when she's big enough. But the swelling may be that her crop is in the wrong place which may keep her growth rate down. Is she smaller than the others?

You might give her away to someone that just wants a pet.

Yeah, esp. if you have a bunch of chickens, you can't be catering special needs chickens all the time. It is a pain, and even if you do, when you have pet sitters, it makes it harder on the sitter and animal cause the sitter doesn't know how to properly take care of it. I would give her away as a pet or eat her. Preferably pet....
