lock down

my calls go into lock down on wednesday june 8th i would like to know if when you turn them before lock down should the air sack be up or down also a couple of them will move after i turn them to where the air sack is pointing down?

I am new to this, too...but think they should be lying on their side once it is lockdown time. Good luck!

If you have them laying on their sides you position them up so that the lowest dip in the air cell is facing up. That way you can see the pip. (I mark my air cells so I can see this.)

 

If you are incubating them upright in cutdown cartons then the air cell should be up with pointy end down.
