I am making a watering station for my duck yard. I was hoping to use a pallet set on top of paver stones. With the waterer on top. The pallet has 1" spaces between boards. Is this to big for medium adult birds? I am getting 2 Welsh Harlequin, 2 Cayuga and 1 white layer.
I just don't want my ducks to get there feet stuck.
I'm new to ducks and still learning techniques myself. Why are you raising the waterer on a pallet? It seems like it'd be a hazard for their feet, especially if anyone gets protective of the water and one duck tries to run off, it may trip and get hurt. Maybe you can line it with chicken wire or something to make the gaps smaller?
