I have used them but they were larger so you could just slide them apart very easy to put on. Nowadays i just use numbered zip ties they are easy to size and cut off. I have never had a problem with them but i do place them rather loose and none have come accidentally off.
Anybody ever use these leg bands before?

Ive used them and they either fail and fall off which sux if you have them in a large pen with other birds or they are hard as heck to remove because after a while the plastic becomes hard and brittle due the weather. I would use that and some other id such as a wing band just in case of an equipment malfunction. Gerald BarkerHas anyone had any experience with these? I really need to use something with numbers to keep my records and my babies straight, and these seemed great, but I cannot figure out how I would get them off without hurting the chick's leg. They are easy to close using a needle nose pliers, but once closed I cannot get them open again and they are quite small so they will outgrow them fairly soon. Is there some trick that I do not know about? Luckily I have not put any on any chicks yet!
