I want to put some perches and roost bars in my pen. I was thinking some corner ones and some coming off my support posts with metal L-brackets and 2x4s. My question is how high is too high or what should I put them at?
How high for my roosts and perches?

Multiple levels are best; each bird will prefer a certain height. In my coops my lowest are at about 2' high and the tallest about 6'.

Ok great. My run is 20x20 and 7 feet high with a net covered roof. So as long as 6 to 7 feet isn't too high in going to stagger them.

if you trim their wings they can't fly as high
i have perches around 6 in and 2 ft in the coop.. the outside perch in the run is around 2 1/2 ft
20x20 run ? create some swings for them they will love it. keep them from getting bored

I don't plan on clipping there wings. I will have to look into making a swing.

the same material you use for your perches..
but using hook and chains
swing back and forth keep them cool during the summer heat as well
or you can buy chicken swings.. but it's always cheaper to make your own
