Coming out of my shell ;)

Thread Starter

Hello! I've been a lurker for years (super introvert, I am :)) and finally decided to join up!

We started our flock four years ago and currently have 18 hens and one roo - hoping to have some chicks in a few days, too.  We have RRRs, EEs, Leghorns, Australorps, Barred Rocks...I think that's it right now.

I found BYC when we got our first chicks - I never needed to ask a question til now because anything I wanted to know was already on here!!

Hubs and I have 7 children, 3 grands (so far) and we live on a little one-acre farmette in the middle of a big city. We homeschool and garden, too!

Nice to meet you all!!!

:)

It's easy to be an extrovert on BYC, no one can see you. I've gotten a lot more outgoing in the years I have been here. Most of the people are very nice and helpful. If you encounter someone isn't you can BLOCK them and you won't see their posts anymore. If they truly are harassing you report to a moderator.

:welcome  so glad you did decide to join us.  And it is so nice to meet you as well.

I also am somewhat an introvert, but prefer to think of it as being "private" :)  This is the only internet forum I have felt comfortable with.

As DD told you, most folks here are friendly and helpful.

I hope you enjoy the forums.  Bet you have already explored the site,  but in addition to raising chickens and other poultry, there's a lot of other hobby threads you may be interested in?  If you love to bake, stop by the "Any Bakers" forum, it's one of my favorites.

Attention:  loads of contests to enter, pick your favorites and join the fun: post #1

Hi welcome-byc.gif

Glad you could join us here! I too was a lurker for a couple of years before biting the bullet and joining. BYC sure is fantastic and my only forum that I post on. It's a great place to meet new friends. I've made so many here and I'm sure you will too. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would have Internet friends but here has been fantastic.

Good luck for the future and enjoy your time here on BYC frow.gif

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
