Coop for 8 chickens

I would have thought that there's some national or state recommendations. I know that there RSPCA provides such guidelines in the UK, so I'm sure there must be similar things where you live. You could find them and show them to your parents - along with the responses to this thread.

I don't think there are national or state regs or recommendations because how to do that when the industry crams so many birds in a small cage that they can't even open their wings.

Thank you so much! We have a big outside run but they are only aloud out there with supervision. We need to work on the inside but I don't now how cause my parents don't think hey need that much space. BUT I KEEP TELLING THEM! What we have now is definitely not enough space.
OK, looking back where you gave the dimensions...is that 2'x6'8"....two feet by six feet eight inches? If that's right then you have enough room for three chickens without the appliances being in there. How many chickens stay in there?

Yes that is correct, there are 2 chickens in there now but we plan to add 6 more. I don't no what to do, I no 8 chickens can not fit in there

Well, if there is not enough housing for that many chickens then you need to talk the family into not getting more of them. The problem will come after you get them and they start pecking, feather pulling, fighting, etc.,. Then everybody's happy chicken adventure turns quickly into something akin to a Nightmare on Elm Street. Explain the probability of bad chicken behavior due to overcrowding.

Have you considered going it on your own and expanding the coop?

No, first of all we have nothing to expand with, second of all my parents wouldn't like me doing that.
