In the Brooder
My hen, Scruffles has a black comb (I think they're scabs because when you touch it, it bleeds), a hard time breathing (labored, shallow gasps), and the runs. I thought it was because her back end was clogged up. I gave her a warm bath, complete with Epsom salt, and "unclogged" her. She literally layed down in the bath and we didn't even have to hold her. Once we took her out, she stayed laying down on the ground for a good three minutes before my sister walking by scared her up. Could it just be because she was relaxed? Can being clogged up cause the other symptoms? If not, what do you think I should do/ what it is.
P.s Scruffles is her name because even though she is a Rhode Island Red, the base of her tail never lost those downy looking feathers. I checked for parasites, but didn't find any so I don't think that's the problem.
