I have an 8 week old Easter egger chicken who was born with one leg that bent backward at the hip. We had him x rayed to confirm. His other leg seemed fine and he would kinda hop around on it . Now as he is getting bigger , the other leg appears to be growing wrong and he just kinda leans to one side and falls over most of the time .. The only way he can get around is to flap his wings and kinda scoot.. He eats drinks and poops fine . My question is is there anything to help.. He doesn't know any other way to live .. So is his quality of life really in question... I just don't want him to suffer.

At this stage, I doubt there is anything that could be done to correct his leg - Likely, there never was - that's a pretty significant deformity. I imagine it will only worsen with time as he gains weight and mass. I would consider culling him.
