I am curious because several times I have ordered extra females chicks to complete a minimum order and then sold them on Craigslist. They always go really fast because most chicks on there are straight run, and I also find a lot of people (city people especially) like not having to worry about ordering/shipping/minimum order/etc. Especially since we have no Tractor supply in our city, nor any other place I am aware of that sells small numbers of sexed chicks. I listed some today and I already sold most of them with multiple people wanting more. I find I really enjoy having chicks even though I don't get to keep all of them, and that I really love the process, and I am always able to make a little off the chicks I sell. I assume just like any business, hatcheries must sometimes have "overstock" so to speak - do they put pullet assortments on sale ever? Just wondering if there is a way to find out if there are any going cheep (haha) and order some extras planning to sell some.
