Welcome to Backyard chickens. Seems like you both got a great deal , you and the chickens. What a lovely place you have given them. I love the many colors, so cheerful. Would love to see even more photos if/when you have the time.

I got given 7x 2 week old chicks yesterday. I let them have an hour outside because it was warm. It was lovely watching them listen to all of the new sounds, although they did freeze still when a dog barked somewhere nearby.

If you haven't noticed yet, I am the king of typos.

When I post in the "What Breed Or Gender Is This" section, I do not name hatchery/peoples' hybrids by a "breed" name (for example, Oliver Egger)--they are either a purebred or a mixed breed.
