HELP! Chickens perching in trees.

Wow glad to know it doesn't happen just to our family! Now reading this thread makes me believe it's a combination of heat and the breed white leghorn! We have 7 girls, 2 white leghorn, 2 golden sex Link, 2 black sex Link and 1 Welsummer. The last few days here we had over 90 deg, and my hubby found our 2 leghorns perching on trees outside of our fenced (but not covered) chicken run at sunset 3 nights in a row while the rest of the birds settled inside the coop by choice. We are ready to just let them be, until yesterday my daughter busted a mother fox & her kids using the space under our shed as their new den! We have to lock up our birds!! :)
