Thats an amazing deal for Cemani eggs. I was looking on ebay and they go for like 5-8 dollars per egg.

I was talking to hubby today about the concerns that I have with the cemani. However many hatch, it's going to be the end of October when they do hatch and into December when they'd be old enough to go outside. From what I understand, they're not the best, winter hardy breed so I'd be very reluctant to send them outside to the coop. That's when he shocked me. Mr Get These Birds Outside suggested that I create a pen with heat in the screen porch (which we plastic the screens) for them to stay in for the winter until spring gets here. I was totally shocked lol. I am NOT going to argue that one! I think he's secretly excited for them too smile.png
Cream Crested Legbars, bearded silkies, Welbars, lavender ameraucanas, Ayam Cemani

I'm a single working mom, and my son is my limiter of fun and bringer of reality checks lol... the only chicken he is ok with me getting at this point are the Cemani... so maybe it's just the all black that is so appealing to them? Who knows. I like the head and tail of the Svart Hona more though, so I've ordered some of those. Lately I keep seeing those advertised, yet look just like the Cemani, so it's confusing, because I'm pretty sure they are small type comb and head, long lower arch tail... right?
I'm still figuring out this chicken stuff, but loving almost every minute of it 😎👍

of course you can get any variation of genetics when it comes to birds but my svarts all have smaller combs and heavier builds than the cemani. The tails are lower set but I've seen short tails and longer arched tails on them.

I don't think anyone volunteered to host another game yet. I'm still at work.
