Thought I'd drop in to say hi. I joined back in April but just got around to reading PM that said I should check in here and say hi.

Hi all, I have 37 chicks, 2 ducks & 2 turkeys. I am new at raising these birds. I really jumped in with both feet. Just couldn't resist all those cute chickens.

I have started a chicken craze with my family and their friends. After I got my chicks my #3DS and DIL got 3 chicks and then ordered 4 more. Then my Sis & BIL got 3 Chicks. My #3DS then showed his BIL & SIL and they got chicks. Then my #3DS's Uncle in Law got chickens and the chicken craze has been spreading. They live in Henderson, NV.

So I guess you could say I'm an enabler. Lol

I have been reading everything I can get my hands on. I was on that site a lot when I first got my chickens and have read quite a few of the threads. Thanks.
 
There is so much good stuff to read here.....better than any book, I think.
And beware...it's very addicting! I hope you enjoy the site and the people as much as I do!

I love reading the stories and pictures of everything on here. I have read several book before I got my chickens so I knew what I was getting into and what I would need to start out. So far everyone has really been kind and very helpful.
 
There is a lot of postings about other stuff besides chickens and it kinda makes you feel like part of a huge family....you will learn all kinds of things about all kinds of people all over the world!
I really enjoy it.
 
I've been following "grannys gone and done it. It is a very interesting thread. Has made me laugh, cry, and feel good. So I know what you mean.
