I am a new chicken owner with little to no experience caring for chickens (aside from feeding/collecting eggs/cleaning up coops), as I was given two Speckled Sussex chicks today. I didn't take a thorough look at them when receiving them, and noticed when I got home that one of the chicks had what look like scabs on its upper thigh and near it's butt. She seems to be moving around just fine, but I still am concerned.
Are these scabs or are they something worse? I hope it ain't too serious. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
