Duckling not acting right

What feed are you using is it chick starter? is your duckling crested? How often does this happen?

Are you using 1Tab to 1 cup of feed? BY

I am using pureana flock raiser. My duck is not crested. It happens when she is stressed such as putting her in the water for a swim for the first time, when I catch the ducklings to change there bedding etc. It has only happened 5 times. She is two weeks old. It did not start until she was about a week and a half. Nutritional yeast is more concentrated with nican then brewers yeast so I am putting a large pinch per cup of food.

I use Nutritional yeast too actually . I think it tastes better than reg Brewers yeast. Flock Raiser is great feed, When you go to take the ducklings out do you let them know your coming ? I always start talking to mine before they see me. Hopefully as she matures it will go away.

I hate to post, in fear of jinxing our progress, but Beatrice had been doing great! She has been on the antiseizure medication for almost two weeks and I haven't seen a seizure since *knock on wood*. Now on to building separate sleeping quarters/dividers for the ducks so I can safely dispose of B's eggs and use the others.

I'm also looking into natural alternatives such as GME and I'm going to work with our vet to see if we can, at some point, attempt to wean her from the Pheno and try GME to see if it works.

Let this be confirmation that ducks can have organic seizure disorders!

Great to hear about Beatrice... Now tell me what GME is?

Haha, it's DMG. My phone must have autocorrected it. Here is the wiki page on it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimethylglycine
