C) I promise that there will be no swearing, cursing (including censoring by using symbols) or inappropriate adult sexual activity or innuendo. This extends to mating, breeding or innuendo in non-human characters as well.
D) I promise to treat others with respect and kindness as is the BYC way.
E) I promise not to post any material that is a violation of copyright. Basically this means: if you didn't create the content (like an image / picture) and don't have direct permission from the content creator to post it, then don't.

There's a very large island that looks perfect, it reels in anyone who catches a glimpse of it. The surrounding water is silver and full of mermaids, the trees are thick groups of golden oaks, making long, tunneling paths leading to more beauty.
Women and men with the legs of sheep play beautiful music, while large birds with the heads of humans sing along. Everyone is peaceful and happy.
At least that's how it seems.
Once a person is lured in and steps foot on the crystal sands, everything turns to normal in the Golden Oaks. There is conflict, bloodlust, and a human is just a toy. Nearly no one is kind or trustworthy, and a human would struggle to survive.
While magnificent creatures wander through the islands, and they can be comforting, you'll go insane with their presence as they take you in and make you so horribly happy that all thoughts leave you forever. Or the happiness is so distracting that another creature will easily kill you.
And when night comes, everything gets worse. Every creature, no matter what they are, can turn into a human during the night. They are more powerful, they are more capable. And chances are you can't fight back.
The Golden Oaks is a mad house, and they will always welcome you.

Creatures of Golden Oaks: (Besides humans. You can always be a human!)
(I made some of these creatures up.)
Satyr (satyress (female)):
A human with horns and the legs of either a sheep or a goat.
Fairies:
Normal sized, or actually taller versions of humans with slightly clear butterfly wings. They usually look flawless and beautiful.
Mermaids:
Mermaids (or mermen) are the perfect versions of humans (not personality wise) with a fish tail instead of legs. They also have webbed fingers, sharp teeth, and gills on their neck.
Usta:
Pure white antelope with golden, transparent butterfly wings, markings, and horns. They can also be black.
Mortic:
Humans covered in scales with claws, and a huge snake tail instead of legs. They also have a snake tongue, snake eyes, and fangs.
Hippogriffs:
An eagle mixed with a horse. Eagle head, wings, and feet. Along with a feathered back side.
Werecats:
Humans that can turn into cats whenever they want. These cats are the size of a pony, but still look like a domesticated cat.
Calvor lizards:
Giant lizards the size of humans that are venomous, and are usually in dens underground. Their color is usually either bronze or gold.
Sirens:
Large birds with the heads of humans. They are usually beautiful and love to sing.
Acromantula:
Giant spiders, three times the size of a human, that usually resemble wolf spiders.
Kitsune:
A fox that has seven tails and usually has the power to create lightning.
Golden elk:
Yep, they're just golden elk. Have fun with that.
Unicorns:
A slightly unintelligent horned horse. They can be pure white, golden, pure black, et cetera. Get creative!
Huldra:
Women (or men) with hollow backs and cattle tails that enchant humans.
Kikimora:
Male or female spirits with raven masks, claws, and chicken feet. They are usually very creepy.
Centaur:
Half human, half horse.
Elves:
Basically like the fairies. Very tall, very skilled, and they live forever unless they're killed. Elves are extremely mischievous.
