5 weeks old. Cockerel. Offspring from smooth feathered birchen cochin bantam roo and frizzled birchen cochin bantam hen. All other offspring are black, or birchen. I'm confused as to how he got his colors, and what would he be called?

Too young to tell. Young chickens' colors often change as they molt.

I am a CHRISTIAN

2 Corinthians 9:15

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.

1 rabbit, 1 owl, 1 peacock, 2 cats, 3 dogs, 2 guineas, 50+ mutt chickens, lots of tilapia, koi, a pregnant Jersey and a heifer! Used to have quail.

Post 8-10 week old pics. that'll give better guess of color. Columbian patterns are possible out of birchens, he could end up being a columbian pattern.
