So, we recently rescued an abandoned kitten that some random person dumped in some random truck until it was found a couple days later and brought to our house half starved. I took it in to TSC and they told me that he was about 3 weeks old. I've been bottle feeding him ever since and now he should be 6-7 weeks old and starting to develop teeth. So I figured that he should start weaning soon, but he will NOT lap up the milk on his own. Is that something that I'm going to have to teach him or will he just start doing it naturally when he hits a certain age? But that's not all, for the past couple of days he won't even accept the bottle, he just attacks it and screams angrily. I am not a cat person, I am very much a dog person and a rabbit person, but I've never cared for a cat before in my life and I honestly have no idea what to do. Any advice?

I guess my main question is, will he naturally start eating on his own with time, or is that something I'm going to have to teach him? I know it might be kinda a stupid question, but like I said earlier, I don't know anything about cats, and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing

Try getting a can of tuna fish&put little on your pinky too, sounds very ferile...as it's heart beat calms it should begin to lap up the tuna juice.
Been thru it 5times...don't give up you might be all that kitties got far as a life goes!(just the juice no,meat untill it can chew safely)

Any update on kitten?

I know.
I have 3 cats. As it was abandoned it was probably separated by its dam at a very young age. The dam would've taught him/her everything but now your the mum/dam.
